Highgate School provides a rich, engaging curriculum and is well supported by its dedicated staff and supportive school community. We have a long tradition of high academic achievement across all curriculum areas. Our students are given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. We have approximately 750 students across 29 classes. We commenced our French Bi-lingual, Bi-national Program in 2017 and in 2020, we will have 8 classes. We expect to increase to 12 classes by 2022 and 14 classes by 2024. The program is extremely popular, catering for both native French students and local students. 

We are seeking four teachers to join our program in 2020 (actual start date to be negotiated). 

• Two 0.8 positions teaching 4 days in French (in Early Years)

• One 1.0 position teaching 4 days in an Early Years class and 1 day teaching CNED to upper primary students. 

• One 1.0 position teaching in French across two classes of middle primary students. 

These positions require excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisation, effective behaviour management and intervention/differentiation at a high level. The applicant must be prepared to work with both French and Australian curriculum through a harmonised approach. The applicant must be prepared to participate in whole site improvement strategies such as the improvement of reading and writing, collaborating with both French and non-French speaking colleagues.
