Message from the Ambassador of France to Australia
I have the great pleasure to announce the official launch of the France Alumni Australie website.
France Alumni is an international social and professional network to connect anyone who has studied or gained professional experience in France or in a French company, as well as former students of international French schools.
The international France Alumni website was officially launched by Mr Laurent Fabius, the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, on 26 November 2014, who described it as “a tool for global diplomacy”.
The France Alumni website is divided into sections for each region and country, and is the first tool developed specifically to connect graduates from French higher education institutions and French firms who are living around the world. France Alumni Australie keeps members informed of French cultural news in Australia, as well as provides information about employment opportunities, study programmes, scholarships, and internships in France.
Every year, close to 300,000 international students choose to study in France, making France the 3rd most attractive country in the world for international student mobility. The establishment of the France Alumni Australie website is aligned with the recent increase in French-Australian cooperation in the fields of higher education and research. An increasing number of agreements are being reached between French and Australian higher education institutions every year. The signing of the double-degree agreement by Sciences Po and the University of Sydney on 18 November 2014, in the presence of Mr Laurent Fabius, is further testament to this trend.
To assist us to reconnect with potential France Alumni members I would be most grateful if you could circulate the message below throughout your networks. Thank you for your support.
